There will be no school on MONDAY FEBRUARY 8TH 2016 for Family Literacy Day. There are many free events at the local Library located at 4255 Wallace Street in Port Alberni. For the week of February 1st-4th, the students had pancake breakfasts delivered to their classes. Thank you to Janice Simister, Darrell Markishtum, Gio Mussato, Lena Ross, Angela Brown and Kaitlyn Matthews for organizing this. The grade 5/6 class was lucky to have Cisco the police dog visit the classroom. The students have been working with Constable McDonald and Constable Batt and learning about citizenship, culture, as well as the D.A.R.E program. The students learned a lot about how police dogs help officers, keep people safe, and help the community.…
